What's the best Temp Monitor for i7 2600k?

Thread Starter
I seem to have conflicting information.

RealTemp reports cores @ around 20ºC.

HWmonitor reports all cores @ around 30ºC.

Do I need to adjust the TJmax in RealTemp?

I'd like to get accurate temps.

RealTemp 3.65

PanicProne: TJMax is located in a register within the CPU so any monitoring software should be able to read this correctly. The 32nm temperature sensors are not 100% accurate at lower temperatures. They were never designed for that purpose. If you randomly adjust TJMax, all that will do is screw up your full load temperatures.

Post a pic of RealTemp and HWMonitor so I can have a look.

Someone should release a bios update that has a option to load the CPU to 100% so you can check full load temps in bios
