Like OmegaNemesis28, I love LoZ: WW. I appreciated that cel-shaded gfx style from both an artistic viewpoint and from a technical standpoint. Truth be told, b/c of the stylized art that game won't seem out-dated for at least another five years. OoT doesn't have that.

Personally I'd love to see the oldies come back, so I could finally get the chance to play them for the first time *shakes fist @ parents refusing to purchase multiple consoles*. Please note that I have played through A Link to the Past, Windwaker, and the GBcolor zelda. Thus I'll be rooting for remakes of WindWaker, Zelda 3D, and Majora's Mask since I love those titles.

There is one thing that deeply bothers me about the Zelda series: the linearity of story and equipment progression. For a company as innovative as Nintendo, why are they so religious about this aspect? After your first Zelda game, players can instantly tell when they're getting the longbow, grappling hook, hook shot, etc. Besides there are so many other cool weapons that Link doesn't get to use, or use practically. Wanted to turn link into an elvish/ Shiek Ninja? Can't. Rather have him use a spear instead of the Master Sword? Nada. Wish you got an upgrade more menacing than a Kangaroo-killing boomerang? Wrong game. Fable 3's over there. I felt that they were beginning to experiment with this in Windwaker, but I knew that actual Zelda Customization was too good to be true when every weapon, except for your sword, only has one attack.

Well...what you have to remember is that Zelda is not, and never was, an "RPG". It had some RPG-ish elements (more hearts roughly equating to increased hit points as you gain levels, etc.); but it was actually an action/puzzle game. (Zelda invented this genre, and a lot of people used to call it an "action-RPG" for lack of having something better to call it.) So expecting Zelda to conform to the customization mechanics we associate with high-quality RPGs is sort of misplaced...that was never part of Zelda, and trying to cram it in now would actually change style enough that it might not "be" Zelda anymore. If that makes sense.

Oh. My. God. I am getting a 3DS just for this game. Completed it 9 times on the N64.

Majora's Mask is still the best though, hope they make that for this platform.

While I am in favor of things to do after defeating Ganon, I don't know if I would be in favor of pasting Majora's Mask on afterwards as the two games would be hard to combine. Mainly referring to how Link abandons all the items he found in Hyrule upon journeying into the lost woods. Not only that, but the start menus are different.

However I believe it could be accomplished in a similar manner to the time warp in The Temple of Time, where you have different items/character settings as a child or adult. Upon entering the under workings of Clock Town from the lost woods, you'd simply undergo a warp. Your items when you enter each side of the fence would switch to fit both worlds. The menus could be switched as well.

Although it would be somewhat hard to perfect. With Majora's Mask's time system, it would have to reset each time you left that world. Not only that, but Link being able to ride his horse as a child in Ocarina of Time may screw up some of the boundaries set up so that Young Link cannot enter areas that are intended to be for the Adult Link only. In example, the Valley of the Gerudos.

Now, one could say that maybe Nintendo could add something for Young Link to do in these areas after Ganon is defeated. Or that they could simply restrain the horse from it's abilities in these particular scenarios. All of this said, I think it would make more sense for Nintendo to just add something smaller after Ganon is defeated then simply remake Majora's Mask as well. Or that's my view anyway.
Well I don't envision MM beings pasted onto the end. Lots of **** would have to be reworked, I wasn't talking about a straight port type of deal. UI and game mechanics overhaul. There would have to be some event to trigger link traveling to the MM work through the lost woods. Perhaps something related to the sages activity in sealing away Gannon or to link acquiring the complete triforce, opening up some additional area. I'd also like to see changes to the child world after you defeat Gannon, so that you don't feel like the events of the adult world are just going to repeat themselves one day.

I think it would be awesome, it would just have to be cleverly done.
