it was the 1003 bios that i flashed. didn't know a new 1 was out.
I'll go give it a try.
I got the ethernet drivers from the DVD that the mobo came with
I'll give the one you linked a try

RMA'd the board and Asus sent the board back to me saying it was fine
RMA again or just say F it and buy a nic and call it the day till bulldozer?
a nic and rma will both cost me about another $15

AFUDOS Engineering Edition might let you revert to an older BIOS.

bought this network adapter from the egg and problem solved
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833166019
Thanx for nothing Asus
Is it even worth my time to call them back and demand a new mobo and they pay for me to send this 1 back?
Or just say F it and move on with life
I do feel like i was wronged here.
I paid $15 to send my mobo in and they don't fix it then i spend another $16 just prove that the mobo really is defective.

It is probably "lesson learned" and move on. At least you got it sorted out. And Comcast usually doesn't have a clue.
