I just got my Blackhawk today. God, I love it. It's so easy to work with.

I took 4 of the 3.5 HD cages out, and there are actually provisions for one more fan down there, however, my plan for using two 140's isn't going to fly, just won't fit. Just a minor setback.

I've just started arranging the fans today and organizing my wires. I can't do much until my new PSU arrives, so I've just been taking it apart and looking at the specs. It's amazingly easy to work.

So far, I've taken the two bottom HDD racks off so that I only have one at the very top. I've placed two black 120mm fans on the front blowing cold air into the case.

I have another 120mm as exhaust at the back. I'm probably gonna mount another fan into two of the 5.25" bays, since I'm only using one 5.25" slot.

I got another two 120mm at the top pushing air down on CPU and toward the PSU.

I actually decided not to mount fans on the bottom of the case, since I thought it would interfere with the direction of the air flow. I might add some later, but I'm not sure if it's even necessary. The case has a sick amount of air flow as it is.

I was considering adding sound dampening insulation, but the case doesn't allow a lot of insulation possibility since so much of it is mesh.

Never had so much fun screwing around with a PC case with no actual computer components.

Oh, I forgot. I also took the windowed side panel from my CM 690 and rigged it into the case. The specs are nearly identical--required a little pushing though. I'm probably gonna pickup a CM 690 II advanced windowed side panel for even more eye candy.

Pics added to OP, also, here are some pics as to why the Scythe 140mm fans won't work:

Above is a shot showing the TOP of the case where a 240 rad might go. There are provisions for both 120 & 140mm fans, however, the Scythe's are a 140mm fan, with a 120mm bracket. Since the holes on the Blackhawk are spaced for a typical 120, or 140, side-by-side, using these fans is not possible for my build. The are very good fans and move a ton of air.

Rotate the fans 90 degrees?
Don't know why I'm saying this, but try it

Nice build log!

I'm happy to see I'm not the only one here with an XFX 750w Black Edition.

Great PSU for the price, it's a seasonic unit inside

::sigh:: between my move, my 460 GTX hiccups, and the Gentle Typhoon group buy still being in limbo, I'm putting this build on hold for about 3-4 weeks.
