4.5Ghz instability OC

Thread Starter
I just can't get it stable at 4.5Ghz, QPI PLL 1.4v got the best results, but after 50 minutes of Linx either I get a random number BSOD, a big rounding error with Linx or a random restart.

Current settings:

LOAD LINE CALLIBRATION -ENABLED
CPU VCORE 1.43125 (tried up to 1.46v)
QPI/VTT 1.415 (tried up to 1.45v)
CPU PLL 1.4v (tired 1.3,1.4,1.5,1.6,1.7,1.8,1.84,1.86)
PCIE Normal
QPI PLL Normall (tried with +200mV)
IOH CORE NORMAL (tried with +200mV)
DRAM VOLTAGE 1.66v

CPU CLOCK RATIO x23 BCLK 196
INTEL TURBO BOOST DISABLED
C1E,C3,C6,C7,EIST DISABLED

PERFORMANCE ENHANCE EXTREME
CPU CLOCK DRIVE 800mV
PCIE CLOCK DRIVE 900mv
QPI CLOCK x36
UNCORE x17 (tried x16 and x18)

You're running way more than enough voltage to hit 4.5Ghz. So, either your chip is physically unable to hit that speed and be stable (a definite, but unfortunate possibility) or one of your other settings is causing a stability problem.

To diagnose this problem, you should drop back down to 4.2Ghz, and try to lower your voltages as much as possible while hitting 4.2Ghz stable. Then, slowly bring your CPU up by 100Mhz at a time, increasing your voltages if necessary. You should be able to figure out if you CPU is just hitting a wall at around 4.5Ghz.

Droped back to 4.39Ghz (last stable config) to try to lower voltages.

Would you recommend trying any other multiplier that is not x23?

Also, what about QPI x37? maybe a diferent Uncore to QPI ratio could help?
