Pranks with a laptop?

Thread Starter
I wasn't sure if this was the right section to post in. But i'm curious if any1 has some pranks to do on a laptop. Even tho it's mostly the same as a desktop.

Yesterday i taped off my younger brothers mouse, took a screenshot of his desktop and hid his icons/taskbar, and set his homepage to some noisemaking website. It was quite fun to see him rage at it, but it only took him 10 mins alltogether to work it out.

Do any of you have pranks like this i can pull on my brother. Nothing that kills his pc tho, like DEL system.ini in a Bat file. But something like changing a shortcut from steam.exe to run somthing completely different? just a tought.

Share me your ideas. Thanks;)

To be honest, it sounds like you're a bit immature. If you don't want these things happening to you, then why do them to your siblings? Even if it's in all of good fun. I know I'd be pissed to hell if my brothers started touching my computer / pranking me.

Make wise choices and try not to be a douche bag to your siblings.

Grab a cheap wireless mouse, Plug the dongle into the back of the computer.. Watch from a distance with mouse in hand.. When they move left you go right.. Watch raging ensue.

It's rare to see you being the voice of reason mbudden. tongue.gif Anyway I'm sure if you want to go along your path of harassment you'll figure it out. I'm not going to donate information because like most people here my system is something that I wouldn't want anyone messing with.

I loved smashing my brothers 5$ piece of crap keyboard and hot glueing it back together then leaving an IOU of 1 keyboard.

Not to be a complete ass about it though I only did it because I had bought him a new keyboard and wanted to see him flip before giving him his new one.

Got one. $13 bucks, and it's a bit cheap quality, but it works. Make sure you have access to their computer before you see it, though, because Windows pops up the message about "USB HID device installed" or something. Other than that, don't screw with people if you don't like being screwed with.

I wouldn't like my system to get messed with either, but here is some harmless fun (if you do it moderately)

Set up a VNC server on your younger brother's computer and set up a client on your desktop, or iPod Touch or Smartphone, and control it wirelessly. I think you could even hide the application from the start menu and hide it in the taskbar all together.

Or...

1. Install keylogger
2. Capture passwords
3. Log into his facebook
4. Ruin social life
5. ???
6. PROFIT!

JK, don't do that.

Use OpenDNS as your DNS server, then sign in and put a filter on the websites he most uses, so they won't load. Record his rage and post it here.
