Pranks with a laptop? - Page 3

This is definitely juvenile but I'll participate for the fun of it.

My vote would be for modding his HOSTS file so that every address he enters in his browser redirects to [insert offensive/comical site here].

Really? I could give a rats ass if no one responded or not. That wasn't my intention. My intention was to tell OP it's a immature move. If OP wants to mess around with his brothers computer. Then I can't wait till his brother starts messing with his. Next thing you know, you'll probably see him posting in the RANT section about how his brother is messing with his computer.

I don't think he's bashing the op, he states a very good point I would also be pissed if someone started messing with my computer... its fun to do it to other people though.

If he has it plugged into external speakers, turn them all the way up, and replace the Windows loading/boot-up sound to gun shots. I saw a video of it on YouTube. The guy dropped to the ground and started screaming.

It's a simple, harmless prank. Nothing more. Get off your high horse, nobody is ruining your computer...

Even though this is immature, I like sharing my evil knowledge with others.

If your little brother has some cheap ass keyboard, then just snatch the ESC key and replace it with something like Num Lock. The key itself won't break, I've tried this with an older keyboard I had and will work perfectly fine.
If you've got about five minutes when nibody is watching, then try to do this

Take off every letter (A,B,C,D... X,Y,Z) from the keyboard, but without touching the QWER ASD ZXC
and try to put the rest in an alphabetical order by skipping the rest.

Got another 30 seconds? See how to change the keyboard language. Change it to German as the Y(from its original place) and the Z will be reverted. So it will be messed up. Also, if he has a wireless mouse, then open the battery tank and put a piece of paper between the + and the - of only one battery.

That's all there is to it

Note : I am NOT responsible for any damage/injury or harm this could create. I've posted this for educational purposes only and I cannot be accused of anything. Do this at your own risk. This applies to anybody that reads this post entirely and/or in part.

Have fun!

You can make it so that his computer blue screens when you hit the right ctrl key and scrlk twice. It's actually a windows feature (go figure) that you can enable in the registry, for people who just want random memory dumps I guess.

Instructions (make sure you have admin privileges for this):
Go to Run or command prompt and type in regedit.
In the registry, go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\System\\CurrentControlSet\\ser vices\\i8042prt\\parameters
Right-click, add a new DWORD (32-bit) value, and name it CrashOnCtrlScroll. Now doube-click the value, change it from 0 to 1, reboot the computer. Now every time you press the right-side ctrl key, and scroll lock twice, it'll BSOD.

Make wise choices and try not to be a douche bag to your siblings.
This

I would swap the keys around on his keyboard. that will make him rage.

1. You have no idea what my bro does to me, so this is kind of revenge.
2. It's fun.
3. It's fun.
4. You don't enjoy life enough.
