Hey all, is there a pencil mod for this board, theres been one for every other mobo I've owned and I really need one for this board.

I've set the vcore to 1.525 in the bios, and under load it drops right down to 1.39!

Looked all over the first few pages of results scouring all those threads.

Nothing.

I don't think you searched hard enough.

Look at that thread. It was actually linked from here.
http://www.overclock.net/intel-mothe...-mod-help.html

Second/Third link on the Google search.
Now look at the pictures on the first link, and since you know how the pencil mod works. I'm sure you can figure it out.

Yeah I've looked through that, and the pictures at the end don't seem to relate to anything on my board

Take a good look again, up near the top of your RAM modules. Not everyone has made a pencil mod guide for every board that is out there. You will need to adapt what is shown, to your board and do a little fiddling here and there.

I couldn't find a guide for my EP35 but I found one for a P35 board. I gave the pictures a look and searched around on my board. I found the correct resistor, opened CPUZ and had seen that the voltage was changing up or down.

Ah yeah I found it, was hidden under my cooler

I penciled it in and while the vdroop hasn't been eliminated completely (1.42v idle, 1.39v load) it's A LOT better than the massive drop I had before.

Rep for you good sir

You're quite welcome. I had to do a lot of exploring myself trying to find a volt mod for my board. Wasn't easy, but once I found it. Was easy as pie. Mine was near my cooler as well.
