The razor controller has been actually field tested by MLG pros, and trust me, I think that it is a better controller, can't wait to get my own soon when its available.

The wired Microsoft one usually has a lot of no-slow problems with it.

Is there a Fata1ity edition to go along with the MLG rating?

Slightly confused with the joke.

But anyway, MLG has "contracted 2 different companies" to build them competitively designed controllers, they haven't released the one of the names, but the idea is Madcatz (the new madcatz, not the old crappy controllers, trust me I am looking forward to this controller), the other is thought to be Razor. But no one knows yet.

Expect the controllers to be on the market in Gamestops and Best Buys probably around Q2.

Why anyone would question the quality of a razer product is beyond me..... I have had many things from them and they all have been fantastic. Im sure the new controller which I will be buying will be of superb quality like the rest of razer's products.

Because Razer usually makes and profits of off sub par products.

For mice, the only thing decent they have is the Deathadder (Avago 3668/3888), the rest of their line uses a POS Philips twin eye. Edit: the Abyssus uses a 3888, but the firmware isn't updated and it suffers from the original problems the DA 3.5G had.

For Keyboards, the blackwidow is nice, but a lot of people are saying the cherry blues don't quite feel the same as other mech keyboards with the same key. Razer says they're "cherry picked", I say that they're probably reject keys they get a discount on. The other keyboards are basically $20 scissor and rubber domes with leds all over the place.

I'm not saying all things are crap, but YMMV when dealing with razer.

Hmm, I thought it was banned from MLG?

Anywho, I'm sure that it is the better product considering that micrsoft mass produces controllers like no tomorrow, but is it worth the $20 price hike? I jumped on that $20 amazon gift card deal for $10 and I can either buy the Microsoft for $20 Flat, or wait for the onza to come out and spend 2x the price. Remember, I'm not playing xbox competitively

Edit: If I wait long enough I can get the basic onza for $30 lol

Btw, I'm crossing the tournament edition off the list. Noone bothered to persuade :[

Yeah, I checked my local CL and noones selling controllers

Dude, if your only Pro for the microsoft controller is $10, why would you EVER want it? Just scrap up the extra $10 or whatever, wait for the Razor one to come out, or wait for the also very awaited upon Madcatz MLG controller.

I'm not sure about what your saying about the twin eye sensor.... I have two mice that use it and they are spot on.... The Lachesis for my sig rig and the Orichi for my Asus laptop. I also had one of their older keyboards until my gf's bunny chewed through the cord. I have a mousepad from them that I really like as well.

all of these things have been excellent quality and I could not be happier with any of them.

and about the Black widow...... The official review from OCN absolutely disagrees with you and gives it extremely high regards.

PTE Problems

DeathAdder (Avago S3888/S3668) Vs Philips fail Eye. RAT7

I do understand that not everyone has the same playing style/grip, but it's a serious problem regardless of how you look at it. I'm guessing that you only use your wrist to move and that's cool and all, but it doesn't really work that way for everyone. Personally, I'm a low sens palm/claw based user and require 35-51 CM or 13-20 Inches per 360 degree turns. I use my arm to move and I'm constantly picking up my mouse and repositioning to provide the best possible accuracy. No other sensor I've tested has this problem.

Heh, I guess I'm just worried because I was considering switching to console in the near future. PC gaming had it's peak, but I have to admit that the competitive scene is slowly dying out. I mean, Besides ESEA (which is gaining momentum, but at a tortoise pace ), there aren't any serious North American leagues anymore :[

You know, You're right. I'm putting my trust in you since you're actually from MLG/GB.

I'll Pre-order the Onza through Amazon Btw, Which version are you getting?

I'm from Gamebattles.

Just get the simplified version. You won't need the "extra multifunctional buttons". When it comes out, and gets some more solid reviews, I will buy a couple of them, and make sure they are "no slow". Trust me the only thing worse than paying $15 for a controller on craigslist and it being not "no slow" is buying one off of like Newegg for $40 that is still not "no slow".

For those who don't know no-slow means that you can pull the right and left thumbsticks and you won't fell any slowness in going in any direction.

Sites like this one sell controllers that yeah are pricey, but also have been tested and re-tested and sanded down behind the thumbsticks so there is no slowness when pulling to any side.

Trust me for any one who wants a good console controller, either buy the new razor/madcatz ones coming out, or buy from TCS. You'll thank me later. and don't do the "mail in a controller thing" from TCS, its not really worth it even though its 1/3 the price.

I might put up a controller guide sooner or later. I call dibs!
