'ello ocn, got some overclocking woes... sig rig is what I am overclocking. The corsair memory at 1600, and my motherboard says it supports DDR3 2200/1333/1066/800... so what should I do?

also, there are a bunch of other bios options I am not too familiar about.. like the p35 was all about vcore, memory voltage, and northbridge voltages. now there's a bunch of voltage options I have no idear about. some enlightment please? ^^

lookin' forward to your insight.

i'm looking for a mean 4.5ghz... i've always wanted to put 1.5v on this chip.

whats the best stress test? i used prime95 for about 24 hours on a e8400 for 4ghz before... but that was a dual core chip.

should my memory stay at 1333 or overclock to 2200?

i'm using Linx and IBT..well thats mean for a starter..i'm digging my stuff so please kindly wait for my post..should you at least start at 4ghz 1st..just an advise..

plus not all chips do the same thing..even with same batches of chip don't perform/OC the same..

i have 2 i5 chips of the same batch but they don't OC the same way

awesome, thanks for tuning in kairi. hey im curious, what's your batch #'s? i got a L927B346 with a packing date 8.27.09.

currently booted up at 4200 right now, with 200x21, and a 1.4vcore. qpi i think is around 1.3... memory at 1600, timings default at 9-9-9-24. hopefully it dont lock up on me when i use linx -.-

oh you jumped already...hahaha

1.4vcore for 4.2Ghz i think is too much but as i said chips to perform differently..mine stayed 4.2ghz for just 1.32v..with 1.32v on VTT
