Which one do you recommend? Haven't heard bad stuff about it though.

8-8-8-24 8GB Corsair Vengeance 1,5V 1600 MHz and a then the H70 cooler instead of the i7 2600k. (You're right I doubt i'll need the i7 for my gaming/casual video making).

How much can I overclock them to? Is it a good choice?

I had it and I had to immediately return it. I had mega problems with clock speeds, turbo boost didn't work, my bus speed shifted around based on my multiplier (so if I set multiplier to 42, my bus speed lowered from 100Hz down to a lower amount so my resulting frequency couldn't go over 3400Mhz). etc, etc... I had huge problems with it. And I had the BIOS updated and everything set up properly.

I can't recommend my current motherboard, as I haven't gotten to test it out yet. But that's what I went with as a replacement. It feels like it's much more quality-oriented... the heatsinks are much nicer on this gigabyte mobo as compared to the asus pro motherboard that I had (I have handled both).

Thanks for the info. Is your H70 cooler any good?

Does anyone know/have the Corsair Vengeance RAM here? How much they can be overclocked to?

Yes I like the h70. But I don't know how the temps will be on a regular working processor. Yet . I can say that it's definitely good though.
