Fanboy-ism is funny in 2011. Not everyone has the cash to buy a good computer to run an MMO smoothly and nicely rendered. I play games on both systems. I don't see a parent buying a kid a $1,000 system to play games. And surround sound to me is a bit overrated. I have a surround sound system in my living room playing BC2 on it. Yes it sounds VERY nice, but at the same time I have some logitech speaker system and headphones on my computer. The sound on each is nice. Not equivalent, but enough to get a good gaming experience. And I'm somewhat of audiophile coming from a music production background. AND, with the videocards we have these days you can simply connect your computer to the TV and make a few adjustments and there ya go.

Someone else said something about bringing an MMO to the consoles being a good idea, but porting from a PC based game is wrong.....and I agree. You can use a keyboard on a PS3 though. So it isn't too far fetch. I just wish the fanboys would quit braggin and boasting about how BEAST their PC is. Everyone doesn't have the $$$$....but I do. lol. And people sleep on the PS3 abilities. It's a bit ahead of it's time. I wish all games made on it would utilize it's potential like MGS4 and a FEW other games. I SAID FEW!

Console gaming is holding back game devolopers from using new technology.
You cany even use DX11 on a console.

Well, SE did it pretty successfully with FFXI so I can't see the problem.

PC and PS2 players could play on the same servers and it was a more complex game than, say, WoW.

This is true, but I still seeing some new technology being produced on console to TRY and keep up with PC gaming. The main thing that hold back a console though is the integrated nature of it. When the next thing smokin comes out, use PC guys can swap out parts and be locked and loaded. Console folks are like, man when's that new PS4 coming out? Not for a long time buddy. I still like my fair share of games on console. Fighting games, sports games, and some action/adventure games. I like PC gaming specifically for MMOs though because as we all know, MMO RPG games are a different and bigger beast.

Im sorry i had to break this to you bro , the only thing mainstream is money.Even that is going out of style in western countries with currency that holds actual value.

The monitor you linked me to would cost $1149.36. That certainly is half the price alright

What makes it trash anyway? OMG IT UPSCALES?? That doesn't mean it has any less of a gaming experience. I'll enjoy my large library of excellent upscaled, yet optimized, games on a cheap platform that has yet to be maxed out. You continue to enjoy your dying library and ported unoptimized games.
Hah, console kiddies... A PC is a cons
I literally did not finish reading that word , PC is a platform.

I don't really see what was there to argue with people who could afford these TVs which costs more than the ENTIRETY of my build with around $400 to spare.

Well then to your point i guess it would simply be a much better investment with what you have because it does all the things you want to do on a single platform.

I am pretty sure that its the developers fault for going duke nukem with their games.Ofcourse , we can all agree on the fact that tech is still advancing pretty fast but this isn't a fashion trend here , so long as graphics is representative of their gameplay , you don't always need the latest fad for your game to stand out from the others because in all honesty , no sensible person would be foolish enough to buy into the latest buzz word on the box.

Although to my point , the ways in which people utilize(code for) their console relative to potential is significantly slower than technological advancements , but does that mean that consoles are significantly easier to code for?

Yea, doesn't COD do smething like the more you play the better guns you unlock?

I am surpised that blizzard hasn't tried to port of WoW to the consoles.

Shoot, i'm not. That just wouldn't work. Even though I don't really care too much for the corny graphics of WoW, I don't think the PS3 would be able to render the world right.

I'm fine with this, consoles have always been where the casuals go anyway.
