You're all elitists. I love you'll <3

Hmmm... let's do some quick math:

PS3 + 32" HDTV = $300 + ~$400 = $700 + $60 games.

PS3-equivalent gaming PC + 24" 1080p monitor with a TV tuner (wink.gif) $600 + $200 = $800 + $5-$50 games, + some common sense and Googling to troubleshoot any problems.

Pretty even if you ask me.

HD monitor £60
surround sound speakers £47

last i checked most people spend more than £107 on their TV alone.
and then theres £95 for a graphics card (GTX460 that i got for new years was that)
and that just barely breaks £200.
hardly bank-breaking.

Ok, I have one issue with this.

Since when does Sony listen to what there customers really want? There's a difference between what Sony's customers want and what Sony thinks there customers want.

For instance name one Sony MMO that's worth playing anymore. They had good MMO's they ruined them by not listening to their customers or couldn't keep up with the times.

Another example, Things like the PSP. Do we really want to buy overpriced memory stick duos, or would we rather buy Micro SD cards for twice the capacity for half the price? Yeah, Sony knows there customers well. thumb.gif

This isn't unreasonable. While I'll never play an MMO on a console, I'm certainly glad they are looking at such. Seriously, it isn't like the PS3 can't support mice/keyboards if it needed to.

So you mean people would have the money for big ass TVs with 7.1 audiogy surround sound but not enough for measly computer parts? Where is the logic in this?

Best genre to play while your friends are over. whistle.gif

I concur.

For those of you harping on this, just shut up. The average consumer owns a Dell desktop, it can't even play games well. The average consumer uses their computer for watching youtube, listening to music, and surfing the web with some Office involved.

To top it off, you can break down the cost of a PS3+TV versus a computer setup and say that a PC is the way to go, but what you fail to realize is that most consumers user their TV's for WATCHING TV.

It has multiple purposes to THEM. Your opinions don't even matter to these people.
