How is the GA-P67A-UD3 LGA 1155 P67 - Page 4

are you reading with an actual voltage meter or software? CPU-Z and EasyTune show very wrong load voltages, idle cpu-z is on dot, but load it is very off .1v in many instances from my testing.

If this is a question for me, I'm reading off HWMonitor and EasyTune6 (they show identical voltages). CPU-Z is indeed way off.

cpu-z 1.56.3 will show the exact same voltage as both of those, if you have the latest Beta.

Easytune6 shows the same exact voltage as cpu-z does for me.

I got a response saying next week beta BIOS will be out for all boards tweaking LLC.

I'm hoping a bios update fixes the issue.

Can you set varying grades on LLC? On mine there's low med high ultra-high and extreme. Ultra high seems to work just fine but extreme puts more volts than i set through.

no the the UD3 and the UD4 there is only on and off for LLC, for the UD5 and UD7 there are 3 tiers. In the beginning after consoling my other people, they said that the UD3 and the UD4 acted like my Level2 it would push extra volts under load.

I am considering this board for a Single GPU solution. is there still a Vdroop issue or has that been resolved?

it will be resolved with a BIOS update next week, earlier BIOSes seem to be doing it fine, its just a bunchy of BIOSes in between. But i have been given an ETA of next week, that was a few days ago.

New BIOS:

GA-P67A-UD3 - F7a

-with PLL override

http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte/28441-gigabyte-latest-bios.html

Anyone tested it yet to see if LLC works?

Nope, same as before. Massive vdroop as soon as I run prime. Having said that this is the first bios that allowed me to boot at 5ghz @ 1.44v, though it crashed pretty much instantly when I started running prime.

This is just unacceptable from Gigabyte. They remove PLL Overvoltage from their official release for unknown reason. Then in the next beta where they are suppose to fix LLC the only thing they do is add PLL Overvoltage back. LLC has been broken far too long now. Think I'll change my board to another brand when the exchange comes up.
