I think it is clear what the "secret" MMO is going to be.

I can kinda see why they're pissed, call me crazy. But if I was a big company and paid all my employees to create a game from the ground up, then some kid comes along and uses all of the created material to make his "own" game, I'd be slightly pissed as well, especially if he mocked it after an already popular game the company has created.

On the other side though, They've stated they're not interested in creating a starcraft MMO right now, and honestly naming it WoSC would just increase the expectation for the game. People will consider it has the successor to WoW and from what I've seen of the THPS/COD series, any time you have something great and try to top it... people usually over do it by a long shot and kill their whole line up completely.

So yeah, I do have mixed feelings about it. Personally I think they're both in the wrong.

Yeah I sent Blizzard an e-mail. Eagerly awaiting a reply. I want to know if I can use Starcraft at all in the title. If that's all it is then we'll put this behind us and I'll change the name and continue on with my work.
Problem solved.

Just rename world of starcraft with synonyms for "world" and "star" and "craft". This way there will be no way in hell it infringes on the title, but still means the same thing

World synonyms: cosmos, creation, earth, heavenly body, macrocosm, microcosm, nature, sphere, star, terrene, universe

Can't think of many words to replace star... Maybe nova or celestial sphere.

Craft: air ship, aircraft, airplane, barge, blimp, boat, bottom, plane, ship, shipping, spacecraft, vessel, watercraft, zeppelin

ripped off thesaurus.com.

Pretty fail and greedy on Blizzard's part; they more than likely will never do World of Starcraft. The modder can simply change it's name and call it a day, though. World of Wars or something of the sort. World of Terran, Terran World, Terran Wars sound cool.
