Sheesh, I go take a shower and shave my head and I get burned for stepping away for 30 minutes.

You guys are funny.

Afterburner stuff should be directed here: http://forums.guru3d.com/forumdisplay.php?f=55

Non-reference PCB usually do not have this in place.

2500, however the numbers are not completely sequential for (unknown) reasons. I believe the numbers had a gap in them for regional purposes... so the possibility exists that new NA shipments are simply stock not sold elsewhere in the world. However, this is my best educated guess.

Probably something related to wood screws.

I don't know the engineering details but there is limited hardware acceleration on G80: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nvidia_PureVideo
Beyond that, it's not supported.

I'm in marketing, I don't set pricing in North America. However I will say that I give a lot of feedback to the VGA PM and I tend to look at the big picture.

Q3: My 8800GTX does not downclock when idling. Any way to make it so? Or, is this part of a design for a reason?
1) Associate Marketing Manager managing graphics cards marketing in North America.
2) I know... someone decided to launch our new global site too early and it's all broken. It's getting fixed but unfortunately in the mean time, product updates just became infinitely slower...
3) Ask NVIDIA on that, I don't have an answer.

I can tell you our margin is somewhere between the gross margins of the US Federal government, and Intel.

As for performance per buck: it's like buying a Corvette versus a Ferrari F430. A slight increase in performance for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. And compared to a Toyota Camry, both are equally as absurd for a "regular commuter".

Probably... but it also was because I was extremely pissed about the design and how no one consulted other regions for design feedback.

But I also want to know about the profit margin on Fermi Cards.
Or at least the cost to manufacture. Either way ill still love MSI.
The tech industry (aside from the major players like Intel, AMD, etc) is mostly based on volume (from a purely sales perspective). Volume industries generally have low margins.

I can try to ask for you but policy is generally not to release these.

Change title to MSI related? Or do you answer about nvidia cards manufactured by asus/GA/evga etc ?

Misleading title is misleading.
I don't handle anything outside of North America.

I realized the misleading title after I posted but can't edit... if a mod wants to edit for me, by all means do so.

I was going to get the 3dmark2011 bundle but my local retailer was out of stock. So I got a Gigabyte version that was $6 cheaper.
If it's marked on the outside with 3DMark11 sticker, it is free with the purchase of our card.
