I wanted to move my GTX 480 before it lost any more value, and I can't live without a good card for long; I grabbed a GT 210 while waiting for my GTX 560 to ship, at least it arrives tomorrow! I'm going to be heavily bothered if the GE or TFIII designs are vastly superior to the TFII.
I've seen the review on the TFIII, but what do the GE cards generally "feature"?
Here's what you're after:-
And it's also been up on MSI's page for a little while now:- http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N560G...=Specification
It's the second fastest in their hosted line-up, at 900MHz clock, falling only to the SOC (950), according to MSIalex, the cooling effectiveness between the GE's all-copper and the normal TwinFrozr II are the same.
Nothing on the 560 with TFIII will be announced or released until we see something leaked or MSI allow it themselves, I've already speculated it'll be on their HAWK, but all we can do is speculate (though as I've said, it's highly likely it will, along with full Voltage bits and bobs that was on the 460 HAWK and probably a 980MHz core or something, maybe with different RAM, who knows. I'm just throwing out my guesses).
The first GE models we saw were the 465's, which were 470 cores and were unlockable via BIOS flash to a fully fledged 470.
These 560's appear
to be exactly like the others, with the exception of higher Core and the All-Copper cooler design.Edited by EvoBeardy - 2/11/11 at 5:46am
