This guy needs a support group just for himself

So many questions being thrown around...

I for one would like to know the difference in cost for PCB's. Is it more expensive to have a red or brown PCB? Or any other color for that fact. I for one would be amazed if they could ever be opaque.

Will MSI ever sell their cooling solution separately from their cards? The Twin Frozr series.

No, it means if we are to do warranty we will only accept the card that we sold in the first place.

So if you swap stuff out, and an MSI component failed and was not caused by a part you installed, you put the card back to original condition and send it back.

Guys in Taiwan throw darts at a board to figure out graphic scheme of the week/month/year.

No, it's mostly just to unify across all markets. People fail to realize that the biggest market for motherboards is actually China...

Plus, a lot of the "brown" look comes from copper traces that show through. It makes it look browner than normal.

It is the twin froser n250gts 1g. It will lock up at stock mem speeds i haft to underclock the memory to make it stable.

Stock the core was 738 and mem was 1100. I have tried everything but with the mem speeds at stock 1100 it will lock up in games after 5min or rendering video. I used riva tuner to underclock the mem to 1000 and it runs perfect. But i should not haft to underclock a card to make it run. It should run st stock advertised speeds.

What can MSi do to fix the problem. My issue is this is my main work pc with no on board graphics so it is not worth it to send the card off and have my computer down for 2-3 weeks just to get a similar card back with a little faster mem. Can they send me a new card with a UPS call tag to send the old one back so i will not have my computer down.

PS. This is the first MSI card i have purchased and hope this is not a trend. MY email is the best way to reach me vwjosh53 (at) aol.com. Thank you for your help.
Call tech support... but here's my thoughts (as a consumer):

- MSI can replace it, but it's your call as to what you did. If it locked up under original conditions it should have been replaced IMMEDIATE.
- If you keep using it and want a replacement now using cross shipment, it's an additional cost of servicing the card versus when you first bought it (and could've just replaced it either with Newegg or us within a matter of days).
- Lastly: end users that build their own systems really don't accept this: if you build it yourself, you and you alone are responsible for anything that may go wrong that results in downtime. If you have a mechanic build an engine for you, if that engine has issues the mechanic is responsible for you but in many cases you are usually responsible for another form of transportation (if you don't already have one). They might provide a rental as a courtesy but that's customer service. Same with DIY computers... you build it, you assume the risk that some parts might fail, and you might have downtime.

Now having said all that, contact our RMA to discuss options.

1) See above post on PCB
2) It's just a new graphic design for the Afterburner software...

There is always a risk when it comes to overvolting a component.

Yes, so are rashes that persist after 7 days.

I have no cost estimation but PCBs are PCBs. They are all the same... it's mostly a matter of TOOLING. Companies that have more than one color PCB (read: GIGABYTE) will always have a higher cost on the PCB than others, all else being equal.
