AMD athlon 2 x3 425 overclocking

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, and I recently overclocked my cpu from 2.7Ghz to 3.2Ghz using the stock cooling fan.

My setup: amd athlon II (2) x3 425, ATI Radeon HD 4200 GPU, Asus M4A785T-M motherboard, Corsair DDR3 xms3 DRAM (2x 2Gb), and a corsair 450 Power supply.

I was just wondering: are these temps okay for my overclock when I use prime95 to stress my cpu?

these are my stats for 15 minutes of prime95:http://img688.imageshack.us/f/overclock32ghz.jpg/

Another question: does anybody know what the aux stands for and why it's getting so hot? I'm guessing that it's the VGA output for my monitor, but not sure...

Thanks in advance!

Temps look fine, but I would test for more than 15 minutes. Anything under 55c should be fine anything above that can start to cause stability issues. Try running a test for 1 hour or more.

I believe anything under 65c is technically safe though.

Ok, I'll try it. And what do you think about that aux temp? Have any idea what it could be, if it can do any harm?

I'm also considering buying a H50 from corsair, so I can maybe push my cpu to 3.4-3.5Ghz or more... is H50 a good cooler for overclocking?

Thanks!
