5870CF vs 6950CF @ 5760x1200

Thread Starter
I am looking @ upgrading my GPU. My build is at a stalemate until this decision can be made.

I understand that 5870 CF will be just fine on a single screen but Im talking 3 screens 5760x1200 Maxed out ingame settings.

Here are the things im considering:

6950 priced the same as a 5870
Can be unlocked to 6970s
Better CF scaling
2GB of Vram

Anybody got some benchmarks of 6950 CF vs 5870CF @ 5760x1200?

Most of these are at 1900x1200, but you can still see how far ahead the 6950 is. The gap will only get bigger as you move to eyefinity since the 5850/70s will get choked due to lack of memory whereas the 6950s will continue to scale.

6950's will yield better on higher reso's since they have more vram..although the 5800 series are also a good eyefinity option though gaming in a UBER high reso would give you a laggy feeling..
