Just so you know

I agree with you even more if you get a laptop with dedicated video card, but most of people choose laptops for mobility..

I like both, but after doing some research the AMD mobile chips are lacking compared to intel, mostly due to the lower clock rates on the x3 and x4 core processors, no L3 cache or Turbo. The low end Intel Core i3's are performing better than the Triple Core AMD PhII processors.

I was hoping to get an AMD to save money but that just didn't turn out to be the case, price to performance ratio on the Intel was actually better, go figure wink.gif

I bought the Asus G73JH from BestBuy back in May. They have released a new model with the i7-740QM, 6gb of DDR3 1333, a 640gb HDD, and an ATI Mobile HD5870. I have have absolutely no problems with it whatsoever. It is expandable to 8gb for only 34.99 on Newegg. And it has a second HDD slot for another or an SSD (which I did).

Retail price? $1169.99 for the older version (mine) or $1199.99 for the newer CPU.
