Budget build for customer sub $500

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I don't really do sidejobs but my dad came to me last night asking if I could build a computer for his friend. I figured I'd go easy and make the budget build be >$500 but I'd like to shoot for $400 or lower. No need for a video card or anything special, just will be used for browsing and normal user stuff. I have started a build currently but I don't know how to post those order lists from NewEgg so I can't really show what I have right now. Thanks in advance

Edit: sorry I didn't mention this earlier...OS and monitor can be included in the pricing.

Athlon II x4 640 + M4A79XTD EVO - $184, $169 AR
Corsair XMS3 1600 7-8-7 - $55 (ShellShocker deal valid for another 7 1/2 hours till tonight! Go get it while you can)
Antec NEO ECO 520C + Gigabyte GTS 450 - $170, $145 AR (Same price as an Antec EA-500D + GTS 250 before rebate; even cheaper with the rebates)
Samsung F3 1TB - $55 after promo code HARDOCP112C
HEC Blitz - $40 shipped
LG 24X DVD burner - $17 shipped

Total cost for this: $521 before rebates, $481 after rebates

If you absolutely need to be as close to $500 as possible, the x4 640 + ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO costs $165 which will put your total cost at $502 (It's not as good a board for, say, overclocking and/or CrossfireX, but I don't think that's an issue for you)
I came up with this earlier. Note that some deals have changed, such as the RAM (in which case I recommend the Kingston HyperX Blu 1600 CL9 for $50, $40 AR [7-8-7 capable]). I might get back to you with a more specific suggestion after school today.

Here you go, nice inexpensive build that will actually be quite quick for everyday use:

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103817 $66 shipped
Cooler for oem chip: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233001 $20 shipped after mir ($10 mir)
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811233062 $26 shipped
Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820104203 $40 shipped after mir ($10 mir)
Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813138283 $60 shipped
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139017 $25 shipped after mir ($20 mir)
HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822145368 $60 shipped

Total after mirs shipped = $297 (337 before mirs)

This would be a great little rig for general use.
Add $100 if you need the OS : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-754-_-Product

Edit: just saw your list, so adding monitor as well. Also forgot the optical drive.
Optical drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827136177 $17 shipped
Monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16824009266R $118 shipped (23" 1080p w/ dvi)

Total for my build is $532 after $40 in mirs, but you get a phenom, with 880 chipset, 1tb hdd, 23" monitor, and really good memory.
