Best Monitors for 3-Way Eyefinity? - Page 3

1. Eyefinity requires three monitors of the same resolution, but not the same size. A few people have experimented with using a larger center monitor and liked it more than using identical monitors. This is because you're supposed to focus on the center monitor with Eyefinity and let the flanking monitors fall into your peripheral vision - you are not supposed to be shifting your eyes from one monitor to another other than occasional glancing.

2. IPS monitors are a lot more expensive - two to three times more. The main differences are that they have better viewing angles and consistent colors. TN panels usually have faster response times, but suffer from color shift (i.e., a color that appears red at the top of your monitor will appear more pinkish in the bottom) and bad off-angle image quality.

3. Asus make the best TN monitors on the market. Samsung makes nice monitors, but none of them have VESA mounts, which is ridiculous, as you will never be able to mount them.
Are you certain about this? I was looking at Samsung BX2440X and it seem to have VESA mount. Wall mount is a necessary requirement for me. If it cannot support it, its out of question.

I should say that most Samsung monitors lack VESA mounts. They go for "style" with their LCD stands, which for some reason translates into no VESA mounts nine times out of ten.

Obviously, if it lists VESA 100mmx100mm support in the specs, then it should be good to go.
