Overclocking ASRock M3A770DE

Thread Starter
Hi, I am overclocking an Phenom II B45(UNlocked Athlon II 445). I have not been able to get very high overclocks. I have tried increasing the voltage in the cpu up to 4.5. However every time I increase the cpu frequency past 224 the computer goes unresponsive and I need to do a manual boot. The problem is that I can't et past that frequency. I never touch any other voltage. So, how high should that motherboard go up to?
Thanks.

I've got the same board, its a bit finicky, You are going to have to force your memory speed down, I could not go above 220 until I slowed my memory down. I'm now running at 250 mhz and I was able to turn my voltage to my cpu down a bit.

I could definately wring out quite a bit more if I was willing to spend the time tinkering with it, but since my cpu is pegging 60c at load now, I'm gonna stop here and be happy with a 25% increase. I think this is a great board for the money. Rock solid stable. Good Features, very tweakable.

....not a good idea
This is a 125W TDP processor on inadequate low quality 4+1 power phase
x3 is 95W stock, 125W unlocked...... you should consider turning around with the OC until switching mobos or adding cooling
