Price Question

Thread Starter
I'm putting together a new build for some heavy photography editing and multiple vmware instances. Since the 5000 series is supposed by OSX, in terms of price and performance, what would be the better deal:

Asus 5850 for 210 - 30 Mail in Rebate (newegg)
or
XFX 5870 for 225 +25 shipping (ebay)

Thanks

5870 but not XFX.

Get a Sapphire Vapor X or a HIS Turbo.

Heres some links to some Ebay listings.

XFX isn't a bad brand at all.

I have faith in XFX and nothing I've owned of theirs (HD 5xxx cards and PSU's) has broken.

I would go with the 5870.

Also, Why OS X? You can do all of that stuff easily with W7 and then you can get a 6xxx series card.
