Ati Radeon 9600 Pro 256 Shows 512 mb of memory

Hi Everyone ! I Have A Saphire Radeon 9600 pro 256mb on my old computer .. ( P4 2.8 Ghz , 2gb ram OS Is Windows 7 Ultimate ) And When I Go To srtest.com it shows 512mb video memory so when i want to play games or anything my computer freezes because my system is trying to get 512mb out a 256mb video card .. i tried to reduce de memory size with bios but the lowest i cant go is 286.5 mb .. tried it on different computers .. Also Tried Many Drivers and tried it on Xp Vista And 7 .. Always The Same Results .. never happened to me before .. I REALLY NEED HELP FOR THAT ! Thanks To Everyone who will reply smile.gif

... I would really recommend just upgrading, because im not sure why you are trying to play games on that video card.

I think the ATi GPU section would be appropriate. smile.gif
