I found an open box 790XT-G45 on newegg for 60 bucks
I know you said that it could blow up or whatever, but cant I just buy some sort of after market heatsink and stick it on? I mean its not like its going to blow up or something. I dont think they would make a board like that lol..

That might help, but as I've said, overclocked 125W processor on MSI 4+1 phase motherboards can blow up despite mosfet heatsinks. It's happened before - at least 3 times - on this site, with x6 processors and the 890GXM-G65.

get the one off amazon it has mosfet cooling without it if you overclock you will have a nice new doorstop

for now I honestly dont plan on oc'ing it. I just need something for work so I don't get behind. If I plan on ocing it any time soon I'll look into some kind of aftermarket mosfet cooling. any ideas as far as that goes though?
