Well I keep finding myself enchanted by the 690II, I hear nothing but rave reviews about it, and the price is pretty darn sweet, so thanks guys, I think you helped sway me to the 690 (I just have to wait for those stupid gift cards to get here).

The phantom looks amazing too, but I'm just feeling too cheapskatish to plunk down that kinda change heh.

Hey, for $90 shipped, you can't possibly go wrong with a CM 690 II.

The Phantoms go on sale all the time, got mine from Amazon for 110. If you're patient, it might pay off.

The Lancool K62 is in your price range, can be found on Amazon, but Amazon themselves don't carry it. It's a sweet case though.

If you aren't in the US, then you could grab a Fractal Design R3? Its a bit over $100.

Two great suggestions, but sadly after retaining the same case for 11 years, now that I finally have started thinking about an upgrade I found myself ridiculously impatient. I'm sure a phantom will go on sale next monday, ah well. The K62 was definitely a contender, but unfortunately the $20 shipping cost (for ground, vs. $0 for 2 day) felt like a real killer to me dollar for dollar.

I was seriously torn by the 922 as well, such a big open spaced beast, the only problem was the top clearance of the 200x30 mm fan was a hair too thin for my liking with my mildly ridiculous A70 cooler. I know you can probably find a thinner profile fan, but again I prefer to be able to have everything go out of box, and slowly tweak from there over time.

Sadly I am in the US, as I hear great things about the Fractal Design cases, but alas, they are not for my yankee self.

My last serious thought, which I know everyone on Overclock.net hates, was the Azza Hurrican, a Full Tower ATX case that comes equipped with 8 monstrous fans, in a design style most call "ugly as f***" but I kind of liked. However I truly despise MIRs, and some complained of its noise levels, and the fact that you can't turn off any of the fan LEDs killed it for me (I sleep with the damn thing facing my bed).

So... in the end when another CM II 690 came on amazon for sale, I jumped on it. Hot swap SATA port, Spacious, Toolless, tons of (quiet) fans, a weird ass little mounting bracket for my GPU that I can put my old 80mms on (buried deep inside now of course), etc. How could I resist? And on it's way to me for $70 Shipped! I can't wait to get it and start tossing stuff inside of it.

EDIT: Make that $73 Shipped, and it arrives tomorrow, yipee!

Thanks a lot to everyone for their great suggestions, and it was a lot of fun looking at all the different options, and I definitely have some future thoughts for when I'm less poor and thinking of another rig.
I repped everyone who had a helpful suggestion

I've been reading around a bit more, and the AZZA Solano looks like a sweet case, full ATX for ~$99. Any thoughts on this? (I hear the side panel fan might have some issues with a large CPU cooler).
I have the AZZA 2000, quality build.
