I was going to being stepping up my card GTX 470 to a GTX 580, everything was going smooth until they told me I had to ship my card first. I told them I'm a college student and use my computer everyday. I donated my old card to a friend so he could play games and fold. I asked if they could charge me if I didn't send in the card or put a temp hold on my bank account encase if I didn't send it. They said no we need you to send the card first. Even if I overnighted the card and got the other card overnighted that would still be about 3 days without a computer in which I would be far behind in my studies. I've been a loyal customer for some time now. I've bought almost all of my products from them and ordered a whole bunch of products for my friends and family from them and they can't even help me out here.

it's not them really doing anything aganist you there just following their policy. if they did it for you then then they would be doing it for other people. many people on this site use the Step-Up program without any issues. you either going to have to be without or try and see if someone will loan you crappy card, or hit up CL i can find cards all day for 20-50
