Stealth, you super Canadian (lol), when talking you hear the echo from everyone elses mic. Anyway to turn that off? That's my only complaint with mumble so far.
Yea, you must be using your speakers as your output for everyone else's voice. I only experienced that maybe twice yesterday and it's because someone was holding down their mic button which was looping the sound back through their mic which apparently wasn't noise-reducing. I have this cheap little USB headset that I always buy new from Best Buy when it breaks. Works awesome. And actually I get it on Amazon now and it's a bit cheaper. My latest one hasn't taken any damage yet. My old setup would get the cord tangled under my chair which would tear it apart.
USB headset lets me hear you guys through the headset while keeping use of my speakers for my gameplay. I have Z5500s so I absolutely HAVE to game on them. Headphones pale in comparison!
In case you guys didn't see it, in Mumble there's a setting for bandwidth that may increase the voice quality even more than what it already is.
Edit: thought I'd share some photos of my setup Edited by Stealth Pyros - 1/27/11 at 7:59am
