Trying to Make 3TB HD GPT

Thread Starter
I bought a new HD and am trying to use it as a data drive in W7 64 bit. I have it converted to GPT but to use it I have to format it and W7 will only format it in NTFS. What do I need to do to use this drive in GPT? Thanks, Kent

If I remember correctly, pressing shift + F10 will take you to diskpart, which will allow you to get past the error "may not be able to boot from this disk."

Let me know if that helped, sorry that I can't remember anything specific, google wasn't much help lol

NTFS is the file system which is fine, GPT and MBR are the different file tables. MBR for under 2TB and GPT for over 2TB
EDIT: my 2.7TB array
