try it without GPU2
I might have fried something. 3 Blue screens in a row. No physical memory dump. Just backed off of the gpu OC a little.

Don't worry, sometimes the memory doesn't dump properly. Its happened to me several times now. In other news raising the RAM frequency but loosening the multipliers seems to have had a minimal effect of less than 1k PPD variation. I guess this implies that both ram speed and multipliers can affect PPD.

My guess is your memory timings are not stable run MemTest on your memory. Like I said earlier it takes a lot of testing to find the best settings on your memory, especially with the X58 chipset there are allot of diffrent settings and voltages for the memory. And memory is allot harder to OC than a CPU.

I was not OCing it. 7-7-7-24-1T are the stock settings.

Memory will not always run at stock settings. The stock settings for my 2000Mhz memory is 7-7-7-24-37-1N @ 1.65v the best I can do is 7-7-7-24-72- 1N most likley you will need to run 1.65v Dram and 1.4v QPI, It takes allot of testing to find the best settings for your ram.

I like my memory, even though they are OCZ Golds I can run 7-7-7-18-72 at 1500Mhz. I've actually been able to run the same timings at 1610Mhz with 1.675v

I have some OCZ Platinum 1600Mhz that runs pretty good. I can get 7-6-7-21-60-1N at 1640Mhz but the ram that does the best for me and for the price is SuperTalent 2000Mhz It will run at 2000Mhz 8-8-8-24-88-2T but I don't run it there because it is actually faster at folding at 1765 7-7-7-24-72-1N. But I discovered there was no reason to buy the 2000Mhz memory because there 1800Mhz memory can run at pretty much the same settings.

As you can see just a slight difference in timings makes a 1000 PPD difference in AVG frame times. Perhaps you should do a little more research.
hmm more research? how about first hand experience?

like i mentioned, i tried 7-9-7 vs 9-9-9 at 1600mhz and the results were the same

there's a lot of variables when it comes to PPD

i might rerun the test just to confirm
