You can find similar deals for the PS3. I've purchased quite a few at $10 each, including Madden 2010 and God of War 3. You'll see them pop up every week on slickdeals.net.

Yea, I'm going to run an hdmi cable from my computer out into the living room, but I'd still like to have a dedicated blu ray player.

Even if the ps3 does do 24 hz, those oppo br players look sexy.

If you are going to be running a long hdmi cable order a high speed cable from monoprice.com

Yea, I've got to do around 40 ft, but Monoprice does not have any "High Speed" Category 2 HDMI cables at that length.

Would an HDMI Active Equalizer Extender Repeater work to chain 2 25' Cat 2 HDMI cables?

I prefer PS3 over other consoles, also, you can fold with your PS3

Let's see. Folding, Media server, Blu-ray, netflix with 5.1 and 1080p, hulu plus, vudo.... Yer I'd say it's easily the best thing out there.

There is absolutely no blu ray player that comes close. Not even the really expensive ones.

My ps3 boots up, then starts the blu ray within 30-45 seconds, whilist my Pioneer elite blu ray player in my hometheatre takes over a minute to turn on, then a minute to 3 minutes to start the movie.

And the quality of video is always the same. Nothing touches the ps3.
