Not at all.

lol That hole thread was sarcasm. When I gained the ability to play Crysis on Linux everything seemed pointless in the Windows world. BAC2 blew ass so bad that I didn't even bother pirating it and then beating it. Seriously the game was dumb, it felt like a generic FPS with neat graphics. I guess I could play some other games, like CS:S?

Hmm, worked for years for me.

FEAR2? (blew ass, waste of money and I'm angry about that)

Wow, what a bunch of games you apparently CAN'T play in Linux. Man, that must suck for all you linux users out there. I could find you more, more, and then more good "windows" games that run well on wine.

Not sure, but they really don't know squat about the Wine project. I've had tons of games work well enough to be playable. I even can find a few proprietary games that are native to linux *gasp*, I know I know!

[edit2] I'm actually happy to get a hackintosh up and running, it's turning out to be a much better system than when I originally had a go. I'm getting xcode and the dev stuff to build macports/fink for opensource applications. =)

Truth be told, I don't really care for WINE. I got it running a long time ago but haven't given it another shot in a while. Maybe tomorrow's project?

Why not? That's the real question. =P If I can get Crysis to run I'm sure you can find a game to play. If not, play crysis! I'm sure your GFX can get it to run a bit smoother than my 20FPS on a 8800GT. hehe I usually just play CS:S, get decent FPS too.

I think a more appropriate title would be better. Thanks

I think if linux gets games running that are top of the line. Like Black ops,Fallout,etc...
then windows might drop their price on the OS. Maybe i think this because a os is extremely pricey.

I got it installed properly once and played halflife 2. Then every other time, it just crapped out on me.

Apparently only if it's popular. We only talk about popular games here!
