H70 Vs XSPC RASA for Antec 300 and I7 870

Ok guys, here is a problem/ dilemma. I got my Current rig up to 3.8 GHZ, but want more....
My desk cannot fit more than a Antec 300 (which barely squeezes through the opening on it.) I'm willing to remove a Hdd bay on the antec, but then i'd have nowhere to put my HDD (it has 3 5.25 bays, 1 with CD drive, other 2 with the reservoir). I believe a h70 with shroud and push pull Ap-15's would be good no?

the h70 wont perform as good as the rasa kit. if you do go rasa you may have to mount the radiator externally. id check the specs of your case to confirm that.

another viable option is the silver arrow or d14. both will out perform the h70 and wont take up any five and a quarter bays.

as far as pure performance rasa is the way to go. personally i like the d14. i just put my d14 back in my sig rig. only saw 5-7c raise in load temps vs the rasa kit.

It would be a small upgrade. I'd much rather see you get the XSPC RS240 kit and mount the radiator out the back of the case. Even with the stock fans it will perform better than an H70 with GentleTyphoon AP-15s by 10+C.

You wont be able to mount the rasa internally, internal quad rads are pretty cool though

I like the H70 but tbh, the H50 still rocks.

my 860 is at 3.7 at my idle is high 30's and load never over 62, ambient is approx 70F

My 870 is at 3.8 ghz , and tops out at 72C.

Another prolbem is that since my case goes in a desk, i need to lift it and "push" it in place.
Im afraid this can cause the kit to move around and leak

How'd i mount a rad externally?

I'd love to do that, but then i would lose my Hdd position (since all the bays would be gone and the 5.125 would be full)
