GA-890GPA-UD3H or M4A89GTD PRO???

Thread Starter
So recently i asked for help deciding what to upgrade, everyone here said my motherboard and xd_1771 suggested the Asus M4A89GTD PRO and i found the Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H. The only problem is, i can't tell which one is better.

So which one is better?

They are both very good boards with similar features. I would get the Gigabyte as it costs less

I own the m4a89gtd pro and I like it, but at the same time I wish I had the right angle sata connectors that the ud3 does

The ASUS has a better bios for tweaking your CPU and memory. I am not sure about the Gigabyte though.

Good luck if you get the Asus. If I take a break, I can find a sense of optimism that keeps me wanting to stick with em. I'm on my third Asus board currently, Second 89GTD, and about to send this one back. It works, when and if I can ever get it to post. My M4A88T was the similar, except it would hang on drive detections randomly. This one wont even boot without pressing the memory timing reset button. I'd love to believe that it might be my equipment, but with so many people having VERY similar issues, I doubt it.

My M4A89GTD works great. Definitely recommend it. I have heard of some people having issues, but who knows...

I used a GA-890GPA for a long time with my 1055T and it was just great. No problems whatsoever. I was running the latest BIOS beta and everything was fine.

Have had gigabyte and asus boards, really do like the gigabyte ones. the only difference really used to be warranty, but it looks like they both have 3yr. Havent heard horror stories about RMA from gigabyte either (and we all know asus is spectacular there). id go with the cheaper one. Had no problems OC'ing on my old AM2+ GA-790X-UDP4
