Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD Sound Card??

Thread Starter
If I purchase the Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD Sound Card and it has pretty much just RCA hook ups, how would this work with my speakers that have the old orange, green, and black jacks?? Or would it work?

It wouldn't work. The TiHD only has support for stereo speakers/headphones unless your speakers somehow has optical support. In that case, you're not using any of the analog components on the sound card and may result in crappier audio output.

you should look at Asus cards or HT Omega cards before that sound blaster junk.

perhaps junk was a bit excessive, all i mean to say is perhaps there are better choices at that price point.

I admit the $170 price tag that most places ask for it is a bit much. However, at the $126 price point that I got it at, I really can't complain. It bests the Xonar D1 in music quality (IMO) and maintains the sound positioning capabilities of the real X-Fi cards, effectively killing two birds with a single stone.

Your only viable option is SPDIF or the extender thing (where you plug from the back of the card, looks like an IDE slot).

Don't tell me you have a Z-5500 or any Logicrap.
