Eyefinity - different monitors and sizes but same resolution?

Will this work? And with or without bezel correction?

22" Dell + 22" HP + thinking of 24" center, as having identically sized monitors always makes the center look too small the way Eyefinity/Surround work. All 1080p.

If I lose bezel correction, what is the cause? Different monitor size, model, or both?

I know with Nvidia Surround you could possibly keep bezel correction with different models but I heard ATI is worse with this because of EDID detection or whatever the hell.

But without bezel correction, correct? Actually, you couldn't correct bezels of different sized monitors even if it was enabled, come to think of it. But what bezel correction with different monitors of the same size? Not that the software should care about the size of the monitors in the first place...

Just pondering options. I'd like to get a 24" center with the 22" monitors flanking, but there's no such thing as a 1080 IPS 24" monitor. I don't need IPS for this but I don't want to end up with a terribly mismatched monitor that can't at least approximate sRGB.

eyefinity will work, but bezel compensation will not. CCC reads information about your monitors through the data cable and if it detects that your monitor sizes are not within ~5% tolerance of one another it will automatically disable bezel compensation.

and how do i know this? i've tried.

Interesting. What determines tolerance outside of res and refresh rate? Timings and response time? The HP and Dell 22" IPS monitors I have seem pretty similar but I don't know if their response times are similar. Does 2-monitor Eyefinity exist? If so I should test them to see if I can get bezel correction.

the ~5% tolerance is the difference in screen size.
i.e. bezel compensation will be disabled if you try to do eyefinity with a 17" and 24".

yes, you can do dual monitor eyefinity.

as far as i know, refresh rate and response time don't play too big of a role in eyefinity, correct me if i'm wrong.
