when would be a good time to buy Dragon Age II? - Page 2

Dude, a year is a long time. If you are going to wait a year for it, you might find you wont be interested in it anymore. Get it now while you are interested, and it will be so much more enjoyable. It will be worth the 60$ to you vs however much you buy it for later on (as your enjoyment goes away).

Yeah, I think I started playing last Wednesday. Played around 30 hours with one character only to find out that I screwed up my spells (chose a bunch of AoE which are useless 90% of the time), so I deleted that and restarted. With my second character I did every quest and then called the Landsmeet, right now I'm in the final battle in Denerim.

Soo... not sure if Awakening is good lol. Probably won't be playing it for a while, I think I'm done with Dragon Age until summer at least.

hmm, good question. Personally, got and finished a decent portion of chapter 3 but it was hard to keep playing with SCII nagging me to play it so I took a long hiatus but I plan to continue where I left off. In terms of combat, really, it's more along the lines of trying to get your timing down, changing style depending on encounters(tougher opponents- strong, many opponents-faster, etc....) and once you learn some spells, using them with the different style is a blast In terms of time, I would think around 20-30ish or so, but, again, only speculation since I would go around each town and pick up over 20 quests to try and do at once XD

that should be good.

i'll sink my teeth into it once i go through the DA:O Ultimate content i haven't played through before. when i meant 'how to attack' though i literally mean, i do not know how to attack an enemy.

i think i'll wait. nothing wrong with waiting, and there are other things i could do with the money than buy a game. somehow i still need to get used to the idea of spending $60 on a game, and for me that's a bit much

Not paying $60. Not going to support these launch prices so I'll just wait until the 2011 STEAM christmas sale and get it for 50% off. Hopefully the base price will go down just like ME2 did.

I mean seriously $60. I hate that these publishers/devs are starting to charge that for the PC now. The original DA:O and even ME2 didn't launch at $60. What the hell?

@Ice: Awakening isn't that great IMHO, the story is too short, bosses too easy if you have atleast a 20+ level char from Origins.
Higher difficulties: No idea. Played it once in my friend's house.
It's decent, but after playing Mass effect, I am hard-pressed to find a reason to play DA:O/Awakening.

As for DA II and Mass effect 3. I might get both as soon as they are released. I wantz ME3!!!!

Well steam has it for $60, and I refuse to buy any PC game that is $60. I'm going to wait till Dragon Age 2 drops down to $50.
What's going on.
