Need an air cooler that is huge but small... - Page 2

Do you have a side fan on that case? You should be able to fit a nice sized one. That should help keep the SpinQ cool. Not many heatsinks out there that can accommodate those spreaders, the D14 has some lee-way,but you have some pretty tall RAM.
But there is another option, and that is the updated TT SpinQ VT.This review claims the new one outperforms the old by 19c under load-and even with the fan on low it beats the CoolerMaster V8 by 7c!

EDIT: BTW! Nice Cable management...
I was implying the D14 is the better option for temps... IMO.

And if your talking about my cable management, thanks!!

I was on the same boat a little over a week ago. My thoughts were do I want air? or water? well it came down to do I want to spend 70 for the cheapest water cooling i can get (h50)? to be honest is not worth it. The only thing about water cooling here is just that it uses water, but is not expandable, is not very efficient. Is simple to install but when we compare performance d14 completelly kills even the h70. In my opinion if you have 300 dollars go ahead and go big with a custom water cooling. Now if you dont have it (like it was my case) I spent $39 dollars on Thermaltake Frio. In my opinion the best cooler out there. I got a x4 965 black edition quad core overclocked and it stays at 45 degrees C under 100% load. Idle is 21.

In my whole build i think the thermaltake frio was the best dollar/performance adquisition i made. I higly recomend it. Is huge though, make sure you have enough space in your case. And you WILL have to take the heat spreaders off the 1st bank RAM, the rest can stay the same.

I hope this helps! good luck!

My picks would be TR Archon P/P, HR-02 P/P, or the H70.

The Coolermaster V8 works great

You can't really tell but it has at least 3 inches of clearance for me

could go with the old school tower but still good TRUE 120, VenX or Megahalem
push/pull with 120X25 fans will fit fine.
