I was on the same boat a little over a week ago. My thoughts were do I want air? or water? well it came down to do I want to spend 70 for the cheapest water cooling i can get (h50)? to be honest is not worth it. The only thing about water cooling here is just that it uses water, but is not expandable, is not very efficient. Is simple to install but when we compare performance d14 completelly kills even the h70. In my opinion if you have 300 dollars go ahead and go big with a custom water cooling. Now if you dont have it (like it was my case) I spent $39 dollars on Thermaltake Frio. In my opinion the best cooler out there. I got a x4 965 black edition quad core overclocked and it stays at 45 degrees C under 100% load. Idle is 21.
In my whole build i think the thermaltake frio was the best dollar/performance adquisition i made. I higly recomend it. Is huge though, make sure you have enough space in your case. And you WILL have to take the heat spreaders off the 1st bank RAM, the rest can stay the same.
I hope this helps! good luck!
