GTX 480 SLI on P67 chipset

Thread Starter
I'm thinking of adding another GTX 480 to my new Sandy Bridge and even though I've read the article on techpowerup about GTX 480 scaling on PCI-E x16 vs x8, I still wanna know what you guys' take on this issue, especially from someone running the cards on a P67 motherboard.
What I'm trying to figure it out is whether or not I'll get a big performance hit with GTX 480 SLI when they're both running at x8 speed @2560x1600 resolution. And it it possible to use these cards to run dual 30" for gaming and such?

x8/x8 is fine. The performance difference between x16/x16 and x8/x8 is negligible. Two 480s will handle that resolution pretty good as well.

After reading more articles and getting opinions from many users I'm pretty much convinced myself getting another GTX 480 then.
Thank you all.
