New 2600K Build. Need your opinions to finalize it!!

Parts I will use:

CPU: Intel i7 2600K $330
Motherboard: Gigabyte P67A-UD7 $340 <<< Apparently this motherboard has no UEFI.. can anyone clarify?
Memory: 2X4GB Corsair Vengeance 1866MHZ 9-10-9-27 1.5V $140 + Shipping

Parts I already have:
Antec 1200
Antec 1000W Power Supply
OCZ Vertex 2 120GB
GTX 295

So what do you guys think? Everything match and fall into place???
anything out of place?

Why did I buy these parts? 2600K because I do a lot of video rendering and can take advantage of HT.
Motherboard due to its reputability and expandability in terms of PCI-E Slots
RAM, due to the price being the same as 1600MHZ at 8-8-8-24

Sounds perfect. Video card is extremely inefficient but still very powerful

Well... it was a beast in its time...

I just read that the UD7 doesn't have UEFI.. but regular old bios.. should this matter a lot to me?

You seem to have your bases covered!

Only thing I would question is the UD7. Are you going to take advantage of the NF200 Chip in the future in terms of SLI/CF? I note you have a single GTX 295 now, are you planning on going multi-card before another eventual platform upgrade? The board as a whole is amazing, I'm just questioning the use.

Processor is solid. I'm happy with my 1600/CL8 Vengeance, great stuff

EDIT: Gigabyte may add EUFI in the future, it's nice to have but not a dealbreaker.

Looks pretty solid to me. Video card is starting to age, but still quite capable for everything out there. It should be your next big upgrade after this, though.

Multicard possibly once my 295 is obsolete (already is, but you know what I mean) ... so yes I would use the NF200.. and i'd have some addin cards possibly

I'll be using my Auzentech X-Fi Forte i know that

The gigabyte has a bios, yes, but it does have support for UEFI and I hear gigabyte is working on implementing it. This is not a con for a lot of people though, because some people prefer the bios feel and also gigabyte's bios has support for 3tb+ drives, which is a huge feature for UEFI.

EDIT: May I ask though, what are you going to be using this build for? Because if it is strictly gaming, I would suggest the 2500k instead of the 2600k.

+REP for you to

So what you're saying is that this is a bios, but gigabyte will implement some update that will allow me to update to UEFI???

If so, thats a neat idea.. any ideas on ETA?

Not sure, I just heard that they were working on it and that the board supports it. Not 100% sure if they will ever release it, so I wouldn't buy the board with the intention of it eventually going to UEFI.

However, the ud7 is an excellent board. A little overkill for 99% of people, but a great board. To be honest, I would suggest the UD4 or UD5 instead, they have a much greater value. The only real use for the ud7 imo is for benchmarking and/or tri-sli.
