However, the ud7 is an excellent board. A little overkill for 99% of people, but a great board. To be honest, I would suggest the UD4 or UD5 instead, they have a much greater value. The only real use for the ud7 imo is for benchmarking and/or tri-sli.
is there any other difference than the PCI-E slots between each version of Gigabyte boards?

conversion rates to US and shipping internationally doesn't become cheaper than $340 sadly

Yes, there are little differences here and there, most of which you won't notice in normal day to day use. Just make sure the board you choose has all the back connectors you will need.

I dunno, i think there is one difference which I might think paying $50 extra right now worth it.

UD5 = 8 USB Ports 4 USB 3.0
UD7 = 10 USB Ports 6 USB 3.0

Sure I won't have USB 3.0 devices yet... but 10USB ports.. I've always.. had a problem with insufficient USB ports..
