Go with three 28 or 30 inch monitors. Triple 40 inch monitors would not work right with eyefinity. The whole idea is to give peripherals, not just a wider/bigger screen. For this to work properly, you need to set the monitors up in a curved pattern that surrounds you. When sitting that close to 40 inch monitors, it will look like hell. Trust me, I use a 47 inch at 1080p as a monitor sometimes. I would much prefer one of my 28s.

What would you recommend as far as monitors that size? Im up in the air about all this, i really want just a huge screen setup but if its gonna look crappy then ill scrap that idea. I was thinking tvs cause the wall mounting brackets i was gonna get are extendable so i can have the tvs in a curved manner. I use a 46 led tv as my main monitor now and i dnt think it looks bad at all, i think it looks better then my monitors wich is another reason why i was leaning towards tvs.

Im open for suggestion right now so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

How far do you sit from the TV? You would have to sit like 2 feet back to get the full benefit of eyefinity. At that distance, it will look like crap, and there will really be no benefit over some smaller monitors.

I have three HG281Ds in eyefinity. It's amazingly huge, without costing a fortune. I got no stuck or dead pixels, and the color quality is quite good. There is a newer version out, which can be had for $250 new, $210 refurbed.

Note that I-INC is simply a rebrand of Hanns G. There is no real difference.

You could also go with 30 inch monitors, but for 4 times the price, I don't think it's worth it over these unless you are doing graphic work or something.

Guy above me is correct.

Eyefinity is about peripheral vision. You are not going to get peripheral vision using television screens. Why? Because in order to get peripheral vision, you need to sit pretty close to the setup. But with these screens, if you sit close to them, they will look terrible. Why again? Because you are running 1080p on a giant 40" screen. Remember that, for close viewing, 1080p is designed for ~24" screens.

Also, those TVs will go to waste, since AMD does not have a good 3D gaming solution.

Size is not all that matters. Resolution also matters if you want detail and crisp images. Not to mention quality of display. That is why I would not recommend those huge 28" Hanns 1080p monitors, either. TN displays have bad angles and color shifting. The latter is not a big deal on smaller displays, but the effect is more pronounced the bigger the monitor.

Since your budget is apparently infinity, roll with 3x30" 2500x1600 monitors from HP or Dell.

Everyone says that, but the viewing angles are great on my 28 inch monitors. Much better than any of the smaller ones I have. The only time I get color shifting or color inversion is when I view the monitor from the bottom at an extreme angle. From the top and sides, I cannot get any distortion no matter what angle I view from.

IPS panels are great for people doing graphics work, but you won't notice nearly enough difference in gaming to justify the cost.
