3/8" instead of 7/16"?

Thread Starter
Hey folks of OCN

I came across yet another problem with ordering new stuff for my pc

The plan was that I would be using 1/2" BP barbs, with 7/16" hose.
The thing is, that the website I want to order everything from does not have blue UV 7/16" hoses.

Now I could order it from another shop, but that'd mean that I would pay €6,75 for 3 meters of hose, and knowing 100% sure that my entire build would have to wait since that reseller is slow with delivery.

The website I want to order from has danger den 3/8 hoses...

So, here's the thing

7/16 hose is 11mm ID
3/8 hose is 10mm ID

Can I use 3/8 instead of 7/16 on 1/2 barbs
It's only 1mm, or will it be too tight than?

Thanks in advance!

Its hard enough to get 7/16 on so 3/8 it not going to go, I know its only 1mm but that is quite alot when you are talking diameter 11mm. is 110% of 10mm
EDIT: the barbs are 1/2 inch which is roughly 12.5mm so trying to get a 10mm hose on a 12.5mm barb is just too much

yeah getting 7/16'' was a pain.

but people recommend putting the tube in some hot/warm liquid and it'll slide on, sooooooo

if u want to take a chance and think that the 3/8'' would expand, go for it.

3/8" tubing on a 1/2" barb is just asking to kick your own rear (omg what a nightmare that would be). Save yourself the frustration down the road and get 7/16" tubing, or get 1/2" tubing and some clamps.
