Monitor, SSD, or case? - Page 2

You've got to laugh at the arrogance of a yank (he doesn't deserve a capital, that's a grammar joke, for any American readers) attempting to correct a UK citizen on their English!!!!

And he wants £ converted into $ for him??? Hasn't he heard of Google?

"I would probably still go monitor."

I think what you're trying to say, when translated into English, is "I would probably still go with the monitor".

I think you'd notice the most gain from a monitor. A case is only good to look at when you aren't gaming, and whilst an using SSD is nice, a new monitor will serve you better in the long term

You really need a monitor. It's one of the most noticeable upgrades you can get.
get the monitor, you will be happy

I'd get a monitor :]

If you can place your hardware in a very safe place with air flow, I think you'll be fine with running your computer without a case. Also, it can be a good hobby, creating a bench table or some sort.

Personally, I don't like running caseless, so I'd probably go for that in your position. Of course, it's a tough call to make against a monitor.

New monitor imo - and you could probably pick up a ~£10 case to last until you get more money. BenQ have a good range of cheap/decent monitors. Have heard problems from HannsG users about quality, but they do sell HUGE monitors for good prices so they might be worth a punt.

As an SSD user i'd say wait until prices drop. Paid £180 for my Vertex2, and while it performs well it probably wasn't the best investment i've ever made. Still not quite worth the money at the moment imo.

@purpleannex what's with the anti-american attitude dude? Where's the love
