Weird problem with i5 2500k

Hey guys, I have been following this site for a while now but never have I had a reason to register an account here, not untill now.

I have been using AMD for my builds for quite a long time now but now that I saw these Sandy Bridges come out so cheap, I decided to go with Intel. I ordered me an i5 2500k paired with Asus p8p67 EVO motherboard. I have a GTX 460 and 2x2gb g.skill 1333mhz cl8 kit as well.

So what's the deal? Well as I began overclocking I was aware that only the turbo frequency can be altered. So I did what the tutorials told me to do and tried to raise the multipliers to 40. I then booted to Windows and found out that my turbo mode wasn't activating at all. I tried prime, linx, superpi, none of those activated it. My cpu just sit at 3,3ghz even though load was at 100%. All the settings in the BIOS were correct.

I then updated the bios to 1003-version and the same is happening. The Turbo mode is not working.

By overclocking it with the program that Asus supplied with the motherboard, only the bus speed was raised from 100 to 103. Multiplier was still 33.

Also, my cpu-z picture is not the same as the other 2500k's I have seen. I put the picture as an attachment.

Is there any way to make the turbo mode working? Why is the cpu-z picture like that?

You need EIST, Turbo and C3/C6 enabled to overclock.

They are all enabled.

I just tried to use the Asus Cpu frequency monitor and it seems to show the right turbo frequency. I still wonder why neither cpu-z or Core Temp are able to see the frequency.

Are those temperatures normal for Noctua nh-d14 in haf932? It's facing downwards because it couldn't fit in the socket facing the rear of the case.

Use new CPUZ and use RealTemp.

Thank you, turns out it was my own idiotism that was the fault. With cpu-z 1.56 it works flawlessly.
