Silverstone FT03 Released!

So the next iteration in the Silverstone Fortress is out. What are your thoughts? For me it's between doing this, which allows full length video cards, cable management, room for 3 hard drives and 1 ssd and a slot loading dvd drive, and the NZXT phantom. (full tower)

FT03 looks amazing, should be brilliant for a higher spec HTPC, of for those style conscious types.

I find the case the perfect trashcan to throw all of my money away into biggrin.gif

It fits the H50/70 perfectly on the top exhaust 120mm.

An advantage is if someone breaks into your house surely they aren't going to go after the trashcan, they will be stumped when they see 3+ 23" monitors though. FT03 FTW

It's not exactly small form factor, and it isn't smaller than the sg07. Too tall IMO.

One of the best looking and functional cases out there in my opinion. Too bad it doesn't support 240/360 rads. frown.gif

On the other hand I like how Silverstone designed that case; no space wasted for a 5 HDD bay and 6 x 5.25" drive bay, which I wouldn't use anyway.

Exactly. It gives you just the right amount of space without sacrificing much. Room for one SSD and 3 hard drives, any size graphics card = best HTPC case right now.

Pair that with an i5-2500k and a GTX 580 and you have one sweet gaming system your friends will surely envy wink.gif

If this case had one external 5.25 bay for an LCD display (wouldn't matter to me if it wasn't deep enough to accomodate an actual drive) I'd probably squash my feelings about it being too big and pick one up.

I love how this case is laid out inside and I love the hot-swappable 3.5'' drive compartment, but the large size + nowhere to install a display + no panel window (small gripe, relatively) = not right for me.

I wish, though!

Maybe four years down the road when Silverstone releases the FT03-E I'll pick one up. tongue.gif
