[YT] Crysis 2 Multiplayer Demo Announce Trailer - Page 12

Aaaaaand this is the reason why PC gamers are never going to be pleased. You immediately disown any developer that does something you don't approve of! You're expectations are so high and their yields so low, it's no surprise most developers prefer not to have to deal with you guys... It's actually comparable to that of a volatile teenage girl IMO.

I think I'll refer to this post whenever I see a PC gamer whining about how they are getting the shaft.

That actually looked pretty fun.

look guys, crytek needs to make money like everyone else. if them making crysis 2 available to consoles generates enough revenue to keep them afloat and producing then so be it. as long as we get the clearly superior version and the gameplay isn't garbage then whats the problem?

i know many feel that having it release on consoles is going to screw us because it may not have as much eye candy as it could have had otherwise but the fact of the matter is if they did make it another rig buster how many people would actually be able to play it? yeah its great for that 1% of the pc users out there have the means to build a rig capable of handling it, but what about everyone else?

which to you think is more likely to generate large sales numbers?

A: a game so beautiful that you are eternally grateful for the experience even after it melts your eyes from their sockets, but requires a rig so expensive you had to sell your testicles for it.

or

B: a game that looks 90% as good and doesn't require the aforementioned voluntary castration just to be able to experience it?

Sorry if this has been answered already but... I've heard this game will be less of a resource hog than Crysis 1, is this true?

Crysis + Call of Duty Modern Warefare 2 = Crysis 2. Take it how you would like, but I think it looks like a pretty sick game to play.

ITT: Conformist kiddies who jump around saying "THEY NEED TO MAKE MONEY TOO YOU KNOW!"

PC is less profitable, therefore they will make games for consoles... The quality of PC games has gone down by leaps and bounds relatively, when compared to a 2005 game.

That trailer was somewhat fun looking and somewhat disheartening.

Fun, because the map design looks pretty good, even though it's just a simple, arena-based layout.

Disheartening, because as stated, it's become more of a simplified, arena-style shooter instead of the open-ended awesomeness of Far Cry. (Continued by Crysis MP.) There were tons of little clues in the trailer that reeked of mass-marketing, lowest-common-denominator gimmicks.

Perks, like every other MP shooter? Check. Ridiculous acrobatic move (slide)? Check. Retarded canned-animation paralyzation in third person while melee-killing someone? Check. Retarded special move for one-hitting someone (or in this case, an entire squad, via the ground-punch)? Check. Mind-numbing, mainstream gener-o-musak? Check.

Sigh.

Idk I'm pretty confident crysis 2 multiplayer will be awesome. It's made by CrytekUK and they did timesplitters 2.

Never even played the game and already telling yourself it's going to suck? Check.
