Your windows boot times should be faster and your game load times should be faster too.

Everything that depends on how fast your hardrive is at reading will be faster. Like above Games, Boot-time, Programs etc.

Well if you get a 64 gig drive you will only have space for OS and some programs. IF you have enough money for a decent SSD then you should also get some WD blacks in Raid 0 for your games.

/i had an ssd

You are always as fast as your slowest part in the build. If you have slow memory. you will be slower, If you have a slow processor or a single core you are going to be slower. IF you have ten thousand things in your start up tray or if you have 2 gigs of trash in your temp file that will all slow you down. Plus windows has its own stop signs and wait states so that can slow you down. I had a Velo Raptor 300 and then the Vertex 2 SSD. I increased my start up to 6 seconds faster.
What is fast is the formats and the the reads from a disk with SSD.. The install will impress you like crazy. But My boot up is 23 seconds. With 1066 Ram. Quad core with all core running on startup instead of 1 and Vertex 2 60 GB with 3/4s SSD full.

Windows will always use all avaliable cores... I hope you weren't misguided in using the /maxcore boot flag.
